Presently Ohio does not regulate Home Inspections or Home Inspectors. So, as it stands “anyone” can call themselves a Home Inspector.

This is a scary scenario. How can the consumer know that the Inspector he chooses is qualified to inspect a home?

By checking the credentials of the person you wish to hire.
